Questions Parents Often Ask
What does SiSU mean?
SiSU is a Finnish concept that describes a unique form of inner strength, determination, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Having the courage to push through difficult situations and achieve what seems impossible, even when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds. It's more than just grit or resilience; it encompasses a deep-seated resolve and a refusal to give up, even when one's limits are reached.
What is your system and what is your point of difference? How is it different from others?
Others (from the outside) build skills to be a better player, SiSU does skill building, however it is secondary to building the character to become a better athlete. Players can't be a successful athlete without having the character to be disciplined to do extra skill work, do to daily boring tasks, learn how to be a great loser in order to be a great winner, to shift the mind-set of the individual so they learn to be empowered with accountability and choice. SiSU teaches athletes to value preparation, effort, and growth over results.
Is SiSU suitable for beginners?
Yes. SISU supports athletes at all stages, from those new to structured training to more experienced players. Athletes are guided into the right starting point based on confidence and readiness.
How often should my child train at SiSU?
This depends on the athlete’s age, schedule, and current training load. We’ll always recommend an approach that supports balance and long-term development.
What outcomes can i expect after 4 weeks of training?
